With 2013 revenues of $115 billion, Koch Industries is the second largest privately owned company in the United States. (Forbes Nov 5, 2014). As a privately owned company, all profits go to the Koch family.
Together, Charles and David Koch control one of the world’s largest fortunes, which they are using to buy up our political system. They have announced that their political network plans to spend close to $900 million on the 2016 campaign. (New York Times Jan 26, 2015).
What the Koch brothers don’t want you to know is how they made all that money. Generating 24 million metric tons of greenhouse gases a year, the company ranks 13th in the nation for toxic air pollution. (Rolling Stone Sept 24, 2014).
