Several candidates for San Diego County Democratic Party Central Committee presented themselves;  Armando Telles and Robert Hamilton have filed to run for one of the 6 positions on the Centreal Committee for our Assembly District 75.  Michael Summers also announced his intention to run for re-election of the Central Committee.  This will be on the March 3rd ballot of the California Primary.  There are 17 candidates across the district for these unpaid Party positions.  The top 6 vote getters will each  win 4 years terms to the County Central Committee.  The Central Committee is open to any registered Democrat.

State Assembly District Candidate Kate Schwartz won the Fallbrook Dem Club endorsement for AD75 . She collected 91% of the vote.   Joseph Muga had previously withdrawn from the race and did not attend.  Roger Garcia also did not attend without explanation.  This is an elected office to the California Legislature in Sacramento.  The office for AD75 is currently held by Republican Marie Waldron.

Also, Cliff Williams spoke about the Newland Sierra housing development and answered many questions.  The Fallbrook Club voted to adopt the NO on Newland Sierra resolution, adding our name to a long list of groups opposing this proposed development.  The vote was unanimous to adopt the resolution opposing Newland Sierra, which will be a referendum on the March 3rd California Primary ballot.

Students from the Fallbrook High School Democratic Club joined the Fallbrook Democratic Club last night and briefly spoke to introduce themselves.
